As a long-time follower of my blog, you’re aware of my passion for vintage mid-century kitsch, particularly vintage Christmas items! My collection of vintage Christmas head vases and planters began with a charming 1950s Rubens skater girl (pictured above) wearing a vibrant red outfit, gold antlers, and a sleigh full of gifts on candy cane runners. Likely crafted in Japan, where most ceramics were produced, this captivating planter sparked my ever-growing collection.

Erstwilder X Peanuts: A Day with Charlie Brown and Snoopy

Everyone recognizes the Peanuts gang created by Charles M. Schulz back in the 1950’s in a cartoon comic strip. The beloved Peanuts gang of characters are Charlie Brown and his dog Snoopy, Lucy, Linus, Peppermint Patty, Sally, Schroeder, Marcie, Woodstock, Pig Pen, and Franklin. Audiences love the Peanuts gang because they are so relatable. Everyone enjoys the movies and television shows the Peanuts gang appeared in that entertained so many of us.

When we learned that we’d be partnering with Erstwilder for their final collection of 2020 and that it was with Peanuts, we were thrilled and super excited. Planning the photoshoot happened immediately and we knew it would have to take place at the Charles M. Schulz museum as it represents all things Peanuts.

Retro Fall Fashions in Eye Candy Colors

Oranges, reds, yellows, greens, black, wine, and even shades of pink are just some of the gorgeous autumnal colors nature creates for us to enjoy. This post is all about sharing some of these standout colors that I like to call eye candy because they evoke a pop of sweet joy when I wear them and see them.

A black dress can certainly be appropriate for Fall especially when it has a print as beautiful as this one with orangey-reds and turquoise blue-green. This dress is the Trixie Midnight Lily Swing Dress from Collectif Clothing in the UK. The dress is made from high quality cotton sateen and has a lovely sweetheart neckline and fitted waist for the 1940s-1950s bombshell look I love. The sleeves are ¾ and perfect for Fall time here in San Francisco.

My feline friendly outfit is another Fall favorite of mine. I love novelty prints and the border print on this skirt has the most adorable kitty cats. The skirt started off as a dress that ended up being too small and wouldn’t go over my chest so I had a seamstress convert it into a skirt for me and now I can wear it often. I like the green color of the skirt and paired it here with a bright orange sweater, leopard print purse and dark brown cardigan and I feel like I am wearing several autumnal colors in one outfit!!

🌈Somewhere Over the Rainbow🌈

Yasmina Greco Erstwilder Collection Crazy4Me
Yasmina Greco Erstwilder Collection Crazy4Me

Time to get happy and dance in the rain!! I’m thrilled to have partnered with Erstwildwer on this magical collection called Whatever the Weather designed by Jess Racklyeft. You all know just how much I love rainbows and color so this really is a perfect collection that I am so excited about it and it supports important causes like mental health at Headspace and Minus18Youth. 2020 has been a hard and very sad year for so many people that Erstwilder is doing what they do so well and that is spreading happiness and delight during these hard times with this brilliant new collection as well as donating a portion of the sales to Headspace and Minus18Youth. This collection instantly cheered me up when it arrived (we too have been dealing with situations out of our control involving the sickness of a loved one and with an already difficult 2020, times have felt pretty tragic) having special pieces like these that arrive in a custom box from so far away (Australia) really can lift the spirits and bring some joy to your day and you feel really good knowing that the proceeds support two important organizations.

I am wearing the statement necklace called All the Way Across the Sky and I love just how large it is and the details of two seagulls on each end. The necklace is incredibly comfortable and comes on an adjustable chain. I am also wearing the most adorable brooch called Rainbow Ruff that has the body of a rainbow puppy dog and the head of an adorable doggy that is so cute and will melt your heart!! Jess Racklyeft is such a talented artist the other pieces in the collection are swoon worthy….. Wish I could have them all.

As with all Erstwilder pieces, these are limited edition and very high quality that are made in Melbourne, Australia. Collections do sell out very quickly and the Whatever the Weather collection also supports two organizations doing very important work so hurry to Erstwilder and snap up your favorites before they sell out.
A big thank you to my hubby Gary Greco for the super fun photoshoot!!

🍎Perfect in Plaid at the Pumpkin Patch and Apple Picking🍎

Yasmina Greco Apple Picking Fall Sonoma County

Every year I look forward to a visit to Hale’s Apple Farm pumpkin patch and with everything 2020 has brought us, I looked forward to that visit more than ever. The patch is adorable and even some spooky fellows, also has an adjoining orchard so apple picking was also on the schedule.

I wore this lovely red plaid dress from Collectif Clothing and was so comfortable on this cooler Autumn day. The dress has a full swing skirt, pockets, a vintage style boat neckline and princess seams. I could twirl in this red check beauty all day!!  After all the wildfire scares in California, it was amazing to spend a day with my hubby Gary in the fresh air and surrounded by Autumn.

There were lots of families and children visiting the pumpkin patch and everyone socially distanced and wore masks. It was so fun being amongst people rather than seeing them on Zoom meetings all day and we could all enjoy the seasonal activities of Autumn.

Apple picking was next on the list and boy oh boy did they smell sweet and yummy!! I couldn’t find my basket so I opted for my vintage Cathrineholm lotus bowl that held many more apples than I thought it would. I’m thinking of making some apple strudel or apple crumble to use up the apples.

Lots more Autumn, Halloween, and other goodies are on the way to the blog…. And the holidays are coming too!!
