Oranges, reds, yellows, greens, black, wine, and even shades of pink are just some of the gorgeous autumnal colors nature creates for us to enjoy. This post is all about sharing some of these standout colors that I like to call eye candy because they evoke a pop of sweet joy when I wear them and see them.
A black dress can certainly be appropriate for Fall especially when it has a print as beautiful as this one with orangey-reds and turquoise blue-green. This dress is the Trixie Midnight Lily Swing Dress from Collectif Clothing in the UK. The dress is made from high quality cotton sateen and has a lovely sweetheart neckline and fitted waist for the 1940s-1950s bombshell look I love. The sleeves are ¾ and perfect for Fall time here in San Francisco.
My feline friendly outfit is another Fall favorite of mine. I love novelty prints and the border print on this skirt has the most adorable kitty cats. The skirt started off as a dress that ended up being too small and wouldn’t go over my chest so I had a seamstress convert it into a skirt for me and now I can wear it often. I like the green color of the skirt and paired it here with a bright orange sweater, leopard print purse and dark brown cardigan and I feel like I am wearing several autumnal colors in one outfit!!
Noting says Fall and Autumn more than this Hell Bunny Harvest dress. The pattern is so delightful with bright orange pumpkins, apples, sunflowers, acorns, squashes, and more.
When I first saw the dress I couldn’t wait for it. I was very unsure of the right size for me and how it would fit a full bust. The Hell Bunny team is fantastic and I chatted with them and turns out my regular Hell Bunny size of 2XL would work. I think it fits perfectly. The dress has such a feminine shape that accentuates my curves beautifully. The material is incredibly light and has a tiny bit of stretch. The sleeves are very roomy and flow over your arms. I especially love the details of the green decorative buttons that accentuate the center front. If you wanted to show more of a waist then belting this dress would be a great option. The dress is very versatile too. I can see myself wearing it with tights and even high boots with a cardigan as the cooler weather sets in. This gorgeous Harvest dresswill be one of my season staples for sure!!
