Fear not, lovely ladies, because this year I’ve discovered two fabulous dresses that not only embrace our gorgeous curves but also exude the charm of vintage glamour. Get ready to say hello to a season of confidence and grace with these must-have
Dresses are one my favorite pieces of clothing! I love how feminine and easy to wear dresses are and with a few accessories you have a complete outfit. Wrap dresses are my ultimate fave however and if you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know how much I appreciate a wrap dress because they really are a curvy girls best friend (you can see past wrap dresses here, here, here, and here).
With a radiant smile, I am absolutely thrilled to announce that Collectif Clothing is turning my Autumnal style fantasies into a stunning reality with their beautiful Vintage Eliana Forest Floral Swing Dress! The Eliana, a design I hadn’t previously explored, immediately swept me off my feet with its charming sweetheart neckline and a woodland print that sings of the colors of fall. The presence of adorable bunny rabbits dancing through the pattern added an unexpected dash of delight, leaving me absolutely brimming with excitement to slip into this lovely number.
June is here and that means summertime!! I am really looking forward to summer and the seasonal change and yes, the fun summer dresses too. I like sunshine and warm weather (not too hot) but summertime in California is beautiful, especially where we live in gorgeous wine country. The vineyards are in full-bloom and lush with grapes and one of my favorite things to see are the manicured rows of vineyards on the rolling hills. Well this is a great segway into my post today as my sweet hubby Gary and I went over to the world famous Korbel winery for our photoshoot and everything was starting to bloom for summer.
I was excited to wear the new Art Nouveau jewelry collection from Erstwilder and just love the colors in my Royal Eye peacock colored plume necklace and Royal Eye brooch as they are stunning and really bring out the colors of my dress (dress is from Heart of Haute) and perfect for body positive curvy girls. Erstwilder works with the most talented designers and creators and the new collection really brings out the ornamental style, colors, and curved formats of the Art Nouveau style. Look how amazing my Le Chat Noir brooch is!! Hurry on over to Erstwilder and snap up your favorites because they do sell out fast!!
It’s the loveliest time of the year, and I am not talking about the holidays but about sweater weather. I love soft and cozy sweaters and look forward to this time of year when there is a chill in the air and the Christmas season is just around the corner. Today I am sharing my baby blue sweater from Revolve by Majorelle.
I am so excited to share with you all the newest addition to our mid-century modern family, our 1956 Nash Metropolitan!! My hubby Gary and I are over the moon excited with this adorable micro car that couldn’t be more perfect for two people (and their cute puppy dog). The fabulous turquoise blue color of Berkshire green just screams let the good times roll.
The story behind our Nash Metropolitan is quite endearing and it puts a smile on my face when I think about it. Our Metro came from Oregon where it was put on a truck and driven down to a well-known Nash Metropolitan restorer in southern California. It belonged to a husband and wife who were Nash Metropolitan enthusiasts and their grown children were selling it as it had sat out in the fields for years since their folks had grown older. Fun fact is that the Nash Metropolitan is also known as the “clown car” because it looks so zany and small and their parents had actually attended the local clown college and drove around in their Metro’s dressed as clowns. Isn’t that wild!! It must have been a real hoot to see them!! The mom even had a convertible Nash Metropolitan for years and her husband purchased the hardtop for her but she never really drove it because she enjoyed the convertible so much.
