Today, with a heavy heart, I find myself struggling to put into words the profound sadness that has enveloped us since saying goodbye to our beloved Luna. For nearly 18 incredible years, she was more than just a dog; she was our family, our companion, and our greatest source of joy.

Luna had a way of lighting up every room with her vibrant personality and undeniable charm. She brought so much love into our lives and touched the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her gentle spirit, playful antics, and unwavering loyalty taught us the true meaning of unconditional love.

As we navigate this painful void, we hold tight to the memories of her wagging tail, her loving gaze, and the countless moments of laughter and comfort she brought us. Luna, you were our everything, and your absence leaves an ache that words cannot express.

Thank you for the nearly 18 years of companionship, for being there through every joy and sorrow. You will forever hold a special place in our hearts, and we will cherish the beautiful legacy of love you left behind. We love you, Luna, and we will miss you more than words can say. Until we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈❤️🙏

The Best Tips for Collecting Vintage 1950s Spaghetti Poodles

Yasmina Greco Spaghetti Poodle Collection 1950sToday I am thrilled to share one of my passions with you all – collecting vintage Spaghetti Poodles! These little guys are positively precious, and they add a wonderful sense of cuteness while perfectly fitting into my mid-century modern aesthetic.

My favorite pieces from the collection have got to be the 1950’s Norcrest poodle trio in glasses & bows on the tray plus Lipper & Mann’s ‘NOEL’ set for Christmas time. Also included in this beloved assortment is an array of delightful lipstick holders, planters, vases – it just can’t get any better than that!

Norcrest Napco Lefton Spaghetti Poodle Collection 1950sTake a step back in time and revel in the kitschy cuteness of 1950s poodles! Back then, these furry four-legged friends were everywhere – from classic Poodle skirts to intricate spaghetti art ware figurines. Ceramic artists crafted unique pieces using a special technique that mimicked the pup’s fur and sparked an excitement for all things “spaghetti” poodle!

Spaghetti art wear is made from clay, porcelain, and ceramic which is applied as “fur” to form various textures of a poodle’s hairdo. To accomplish the spaghetti look, ceramicists and designers would have different techniques like using tea strainers to push the material through to form strands that were then attached to the poodle giving it a pom-pom look or they would swirl it onto to the poodle for a curly look. The spaghetti is very fragile and tends to break or chip over the years.

Swamp Monster Halloween

This is the first year in a very long time that we didn’t make it to the pumpkin patch for our annual Halloween photoshoot. The Kincade wildfire here in Northern California has been so scary, burned thousands of acres and we are under a mandatory evacuation. I am so thankful my husband Gary and puppy dog Luna and I am safe!!

I wanted to share some photos we took a few hours before the evacuation notice came and the outfit for Halloween I chose this year. I usually like to wear a fun novelty print skirt and this skirt delivered on all levels. The Swamp Monster skirt features a take on the wildly popular Creature from the Black Lagoon. The color is absolutely stunning, a rich teal/turquoise blue and the Swamp Monster has so much character!! I styled the outfit very simply with a matching teal/blue top and shoes along with our teal colored pumpkin, as it is Halloween after all.

I love the Lyra dresses because they look spectacular on a wide variety of body shapes and available in sizes 14-32 UK and are made from high quality fabrics. I love the Lyra’s fit, because it is a wrap dress it fits my bust perfectly and gives me a very feminine silhouette. I feel well dressed and beautiful.

Heart of Haute Betsy Blouses so Sweet and Chic

Heart of Haute is known as the voluptuous gals best friend when it comes to clothing that perfectly fits curves. Heart of Haute is also very well known for their Estelle, Elsa, and Giselle blouses of which I own several. Today I am super excited to share these new Betsy blouses with you all!!

Dressing for summer has never been so easy and the Betsy blouse in Pink Plaid just screams sweet and chic!! I am wearing the blouse in my standard 2X size and it is 100% cotton with a bit of stretch and as you can see from my pictures there is absolutely no gaping, puckering, or pancake effect. The waist is fitted but not tight. The blouse has princess seams to add shaping and a tailored fit that closely follows a woman’s curves. There is also plenty of room for my arms.
