Lady Voluptuous has put their own stamp on the classic wrap dress with a 1950s circle skirt and a standout print for every occasion. I was so excited to work with Lady Voluptuous on this collaboration and wear their new Autumn/Winter 2016 Lyra Dress that I could not wait to style and shoot this delectably sweet dress in the Cute As A Cupcake print in black.
This Lyra dress is practical, feminine, and sexy, yet can be work appropriate too. For Autumn this dress has long sleeves!!! Hooray for all us ladies that don’t enjoy baring our arms as well as appreciate the longer length for added warmth as the weather turns cooler. No one can pass up the cute cupcake print (I was craving cupcakes badly) and the colors are perfect for Autumn with cozy shades of gold, brownish/orange, hints of red and pastel blues/pinks. The Lyra dress is spot on for modern dressing with its V-neck wrap design that fits a woman’s body like no other dress as it perfectly hugged my curves and hour glass shape, and, in keeping with the vintage theme it has that fabulous full circle skirt. With ties in the back, you can pull the dress as tight as you like to enhance your waist or, keep it looser for work wear. I love that this wrap dress also lets the wearer adjust just how much cleavage they are comfortable showing as you can pull it higher in front to minimize the amount or, pull it down a bit to bare a little more.
In these pictures I styled the dress very minimally as I wanted the fun print to be the showstopper. I wore it with my simple black pumps and some bright pink earrings. I added a pink cardigan for a little contrast to show just how easy it is to style this stunning dress. As the weather cools I will pair it with tights and some tall boots and richer hued cardigans. I am a Lyra dress fan having the green and purple styles in my collection and am so thrilled to have the addition of this Cupcake print in my wardrobe as this dress is a staple and so very comfortable to wear.
