It has been a very busy couple of weeks with lots of shopping and holiday preparations. We spent an afternoon in Petaluma this past weekend shopping and enjoying the season. We shopped, had lunch and Christmas coffee too. I like dressing up but still being comfortable for holiday activities and today I am wearing my Lyra dress from Lady Voluptuous. I love the colors and print on this dress with bright florals and the fit… It is a wrap and you all know that is my go-to style, it is flattering for all shapes but I find it especially fits perfectly on my curves. It was not very cold so I added a cropped cardigan in a complimentary color and off we went.
Watermelon is usually a hit at every BBQ and all summer long. The sweet and juicy fruit is so hydrating and packed with all sorts of goodness for your skin and hair. So, what could be even better then a dripping delicious slice of chilled watermelon… well, this stunning Lady Voluptuous Lyra Dress in Watermelon Crush!!
The team over at Lady Voluptuous keeps amazing me with each season as they come out with the prettiest of wrap dresses- the Lyra dress. I love the Lyra dresses because they look spectacular on a wide variety of body shapes and available in sizes 14-32 UK and are made from high quality fabrics. I love the Lyra’s fit, because it is a wrap dress it fits my bust perfectly and gives me a very feminine silhouette. I feel well dressed and beautiful.
I love a fabulous Flamingo print and Lady V really delivered with the Dinah Skirt – Pretty In Pink Flamingos that combines my love for polka dots and flamingos into this new for SS2018 1950s inspired skirt that is made in England. The fabric is very nice quality cotton that holds it shape firmly, has plenty of room for a fluffy petticoat and has a super fun print with a navy blue background, bright pink flamingos, palm fronds, and perfect polka dots. Skirt zips up the back and also has pockets!!
We are so fortunate to live in beautiful California where we are not having to deal with horrible winter temperatures and weather. It was a lovely weekend and we had a spectacular outing in Bodega Bay. I got to wear my new Ada dress from Lady Voluptuous in Teal Rose. We found a lovely picnic spot by the bay for some photos and a marina.
Driving through town we stopped at Patrick’s Salt Water Taffy for some goodies and I love the pink color of the building… perfect for a sea side treat shop!! We had lunch at a lovely spot overlooking the water and look who I found outside – Charlie Brown and I just had to stop and pose with him. My dress was so comfy all day and I love the fact that it does not wrinkle. I added a cardigan and cute purse from Lola Von Rose.
Bodega Bay is where the famous Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds was filmed and I have posted before pics of the school house and church, you can read about it here and see some neat pics – Bodega Bay Bombshell – Hitchcock Heroine Style. The hubby and I had a wonderful day out at Bodgea Bay!! All pics by my hubby Gary
Christmas Day is tomorrow!! This has been such a busy, fast moving month and I am so glad I was able to do my annual (ok my 2nd year) 12 Days of Christmas Pinup Fashions for you all. Hands down themed shoots are my favorite and this year brought so many collaborations from so many different brands, it was so much fun getting to work with them all. Featured in my 12 Days of Christmas are outfits by: Pigtails and Pirates, Pinup Girl Clothing, Lindy Bop, Lady V of London, Lady Voluptuous. Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that you weren’t too naughty and get the presents you’ve been hoping for!!
