My hubby and I love classic car shows and this weekend we attended one of our favorite shows in Sebastopol, CA that benefits the local senior center. This photo shoot is one of my all time favorites I’ve done thus far for Pin Up Girl Clothing. I am wearing the Pinup Couture Edie Dress in Pink Harlequin print. The harlequin prints from Pin Up Girl are out-of-this-world with their color combos and styles. The Edie dress in Pink Harlequin is exquisite with lots of pink, red, and white colors and it is absolutely perfect for Valentines Day.
This is my very first Edie style and it reminds me a lot of the famous white Marilyn Monroe dress and, I really felt like a glamorous bombshell in it. I am wearing a size 2XL (my standard size in Pin Up Girl Clothing) and the dress emphasizes my hourglass figure and is spectacularly big boob friendly!! The Edie has a collared mock wrap bodice and us gals with big busts really appreciate this style. The dress is impeccably made with loads of high quality gathered sateen fabric, has pockets and comes with a matching belt to nip in the waist. Accessorizing with a pink or red cardigan is so complementary with the colors of the Pink Harlequin Edie dress. Add a petticoat for additional fullness (I am wearing a petticoat) and match your favorite shoes too. I had so much fun spending the day in this gorgeous dress and it was incredibly comfortable and barely wrinkled. I was really excited to collaborate with Pinup Girl Clothing on the new Pinup Couture Bella Skirt in Music Boarder Print with Art by Stephanie Buscema. The Bella is a style I had wanted to try since it was released this past summer in the pink and blue Castle prints. Also, the boarder print artwork is by Stephanie Buscema… wow! Stephanie is a seriously talented painter and illustrator with a love for music, and 1950s kitsch, so the boarder print design on this Music Notes skirt is brilliant!!
The Bella skirt is made of the same high-quality cotton sateen the Jenny skirts are made from. It felt so luxurious when I pulled it out of the packaging and I was excited to get it on my body and try her on. What I particularly like about the Bella skirt is the wider waistband that has some stretch to it. You will still get that nipped-in waist but more comfortably and it will hold its form. The Bella skirt has a very figure flattering shape but with less fabric then the Jenny skirt and there are not as many pleats and gathers so it feels lighter, but again, has the gorgeous shape and style of a full swing skirt. The Bella has incredibly deep pockets too so do not be concerned about your phone, compact, lipstick, and keys not having space. Also, this one did not wrinkle much!! We shot a lot of pictures for the collaboration and it wore beautifully and remained so comfortable. I am wearing the Bella in a size 2XL and it fit spot-on according to the size chart with no issues at all. I really like how it hugs my curves in all the right places and nips in my waist. The Bella also accommodates a full petticoat and I am wearing one underneath so it is perfect for cooler seasons and warmer seasons as you can wear it without a petticoat and still have perfect volume. I was so comfortable in this gorgeous skirt I could wear all day!! I really love the fit and flair of the Bella and the boarder print lays just a little flatter then it would on a Jenny thus making the print easier to show-off. The print is stunning with Stephanie Buscema’s incredible artwork. Musical instruments along with music notes line the boarder in a variety of great colors that are perfect for vintage loving Dolls. All these colors make it easy to pair tops and cardigans with.
In these pictures I am wearing a peasant top and Lauren top. The peasant top is in the beautiful Baton Rouge color and boy does it match perfectly with the Bella skirt. The color is magic!! Having quite a full bust I wasn’t sure how the peasant top would work but it fits perfectly. I love how I don’t have to worry about buttons and gaping. Pinup Girl Clothing knows how to design clothing for all shapes and sizes so you can feel beautiful and confident in all their items. I am wearing the peasant top in a 2XL and it is so comfortable!!
The yellow top I am wearing is the Lauren top in a 2XL and it too pairs so nicely with this Bella skirt. Being a large busted gal the top hugs my curves so nicely and I like the longer sleeve. I love wearing bright pops of color and this skirt makes it so easy to mix and match colors with so you can have all the colors of the rainbow in peasant tops, Lauren tops, Doris tops, and so many more tops!! Colorful cardigans too especially in cooler weather will be perfect paired with this skirt.

Palm Beach or Palm Springs? That’s what I thought when I saw the fabulous Lana dress from the new Tiki Capsule Collection from Pinup Girl Clothing. This retro style cocktail length dress is perfection and has the most fantastic pink and green colored palm fronds. Tropical with a little South Pacific flair and the most luxurious of fabrics too…. the bust is fully lined and the dress is of the highest quality.
This is my first Lana dress and I was a little unsure about it at first as it is sleeveless and….. I was worried if it would fit my GG bust. The dress straps are not adjustable. The colors and style won me over and it exceeded my expectations when it arrived. I am wearing my standard 2XL in Pinup Girl Clothing dresses and went by the size chart. Perfection!! It fit better than I could have hoped. It also has pockets. The dress fit my bust with ease, no squishing at all. I knew the waist would be loose and the matching belt worked it’s magic to nip my waist in. I really liked that the Lana has a higher neckline but still shows shape. I am not a fan of sleeveless dresses or tops so I was out of my comfort zone in this dress but let me say that the style is so perfect ….. I wear it with confidence and love how it looks on me and how perfect the fit is.
Accessorizing the beautiful Lana dress is not a problem; add a pink or green cardigan, necklace and pretty purse. The skirt is actually full enough for a petticoat. My purse is the green wicker bag from Pinup Girl Clothing.
So, if anyone of you are hesitant about the Lana dress (especially the curvy big busted Dolls who follow me and are reading my post) do not worry, you will be thrilled with how the fit is and how exquisitely made the dress is.
