Many of you have been asking what I brought back from Portland when I recently visited. Right before catching that horrible flu bug I did manage to get out to two antique malls. My BEST finds came from ‘Old Glory‘ in Vancouver, WA. I didn’t really think I found that many items but the medium sized UHaul box I shipped myself proved other wise. Here are some pics of a few of these vintage goodies that I just listed in our eBay and Etsy stores. Some of these items include vintage Lefton Toodles jam jars, a vintage Rubens Valentine girl planter, an adorable pair of vintage Lefton Norcrest bluebird salt and pepper shakers, a vintage Art Deco ‘Bathing Beauty’ Flapper figurine made in Germany and many many more goodies!!
I’ve been up in Portland this week. In the midst of spending time with family I have managed to squeeze in some great antiquing. I have to say, over the past few years, Portland, Oregon has developed into one of my all-time favorite cities to antique in, as there are several multi-dealer malls, thrift stores, estate stores, and junk shops. Also, with Vancouver, Washington a 30min drive across the river, there is also a whole other state to antique in.
Here are some pics from Starts Antique Mall. This is a mall I discovered by accident when I was in Portland this past Fall for the big antique show. I don’t know how I ever missed it! The mall 3 locations (one across the street from each other) and the owners of the mall have their own store next door so really it is 3 antique malls!! Here are some pics of my recent visit. I just couldn’t get enough of the vintage Christmas collectibles the mall had and this one booth is so creative with their vintage Christmas creations.
Hi everyone, hope your Black Friday has been safe and for those that braved it and went to the malls…. did you score any deals?? We didn’t end up going anywhere today. Instead, my husband was hard at work and opened his brand new Etsy store – UpcycledClassics. He has a passion for vintage cameras and has found a way to combine his passion for photography, cameras, and art into these one-of-a-kind UpcycledClassics. He tests each and every camera to make sure it is in working condition; he actually locates the vintage film for these Pentax, Kodak and Polaroids and takes photos with each camera, cleans each, adjusts len’s and puts in new batteries and more and then gives them a whole new look with a blast of fabulous color. If you are into photography, art, or vintage cameras or know someone that is, would you please help spread the word of the UpcycledClassics store. Thank you in advance!!
