Dangerfield Clothing Review – 1950s Novelty Print Skirts

Isn’t this the most adorable 1950s repro skirt you have ever seen? The pattern originated from John Wolf in the 50s where Poodle dogs and puppies were put onto boarder prints for skirts and aprons. My heart started to sing when I saw this darling Puppy in A Basket print skirt from Dangerfield Clothing.

Dangerfield Clothing is a popular alternative Australian fashion brand with two additional labels Revival and Princess Highway. This puppy in a basket skirt is from their Revival label. The skirt comes in black and a lovely olive green color. The boarder print features the cutest little golden puppy dog sitting in a basket. I immediately had to have both color-ways and didn’t hesitate ordering as these prints sell out quickly.

Pinup Girls and Classic Car Shows – Tips You Need to Know

Hold onto your petticoats, ladies and gents! May is upon us, and it’s time to rev up those engines for a parade of spectacular classic car shows! For all you Pinup-loving Rockabilly gals, this is your chance to don those vibrant dresses, strut in high heels, rock those victory rolls, flaunt the perfect cat eye, and flash that siren-red smile. It’s time for the ultimate picture-taking extravaganza!

A classic car is a treasure!! Owners of classic cars poor their blood, sweat, and tears into restoring them, not mention they’re hard earned dollars. These are incredible automobiles that are a symbol of a bygone era. Plan your outfits carefully. Many times you will be right up next to these cars and you do not want to have any beads, chains, or purses with metal, or high heels that can touch the car as it will scratch it and that is not allowed. Also, keep in mind that many car shows are family friendly so dress appropriately and keep it tasteful like the classy gal you are. Always ask if you can take a photo next to the car…some shows the owners sit right next to them and other shows the owners are a mile away under the trees for shade. But, if an owner is close by, always ask. Sometimes they will even let you sit inside the car and take photos. Being kind and curious goes a very long way!!

Blonde Bombshell Hearts and Kisses Pinup Girl T-Shirt

I am happy to share our latest addition to the Crazy4Me Style shop, our Blonde Bombshell Hearts and Kisses Pinup Girl T-Shirt from custom one-of-a-kind artwork. She exudes 1950s bombshell glam with her glorious blonde hair all done up in a vintage style and she is blowing kisses and hearts. She is perfection!!

For this tee it was quite the challenge finding the right fabric and printing process. I really wanted an aqua blue tee to showoff the artwork as I could see it perfectly with the pink hearts and her blonde hair. Dye lots apparently can vary and just because you receive the correct colored tee once doesn’t mean you will again, so we worked with many manufactures to find the absolute best workmanship and also experienced sizing rounds to ensure the design was perfectly printed and with the right colored inks. We talked to so many companies!! We also wanted to work with a US based company as that is a really important thing for us. It was a very long process but, here she is, we are so proud of the finished product and hope you love her!! Sizes available in XS – 3XL.

Our Blonde Bombshell tee has the perfect scoop neck and the sleeves are not tight on the upper arm portion like so many other tees. Ours are roomy with a nice shape. The t-shirt also accommodates a full bust with ease and that means the design won’t crack; this is especially important for us Dolls with large breasts. The tee is also a nice length that can easily tuck into wiggle skirts, swing skirts, and jeans, and, can be comfortably un-tucked over trousers and will maintain its shape. Our tee is perfect for the Pinup Girl, Rockabilly babe and modern day vintage loving gal!!

I wanted to start off with a fun t-shirt that is a fabulous cotton candy pink color with a gorgeous 57′ Corvette. I styled this one with a couple swing skirts for a Pinup 50s, and Rockabilly theme. The fit is absolute perfection and I am wearing it in the XL and it fits my GG breasts without any trouble and really compliments my curves.

Summer Style by Hell Bunny

It is August and we are right in the middle of summer time. The temps are soaring in so many places. I want to look pretty and put-together but how do you pull that off when temps are over 100 degrees and, you still want to wear your petticoat? You do it with Hell Bunny, that’s how.

For those of you who are not familiar with the Hell Bunny clothing brand, they are a UK company that creates fashion styles from the 40s-50s that is Pinup, Retro, Rockabilly, Punk, vintage with edgy street styles. If you want to stand out then Hell Bunny is a brand you need to get to know!!

I love wearing Hell Bunny skirts in the summer or, anytime the temps soar. The skirts have the most beautiful patterns and colors and are so light and airy. I am wearing the Hell Bunny Cannes Floral White/Red Roses Skirt in these pictures and I love it. I had been searching for a floral patterned skirt that pops for a long time and this skirt was recently restocked so I snapped it up. The roses are stunning on this skirt and really do pop against the pristine white background. The skirt just floats, it is light as air. I am also wearing a full petticoat underneath.

Mixing and matching tops with the Hell Bunny Cannes Floral White/Red Roses Skirt is not a problem and you’ll have so many options. I chose to pair it with my red Doris top from Pinup Girl Clothing fir these pictures but, adding colorful cardigans and blouses with belts, purses and petticoats will give you so many different looks. No doubt, this skirt will be a staple in your summer wardrobe. Also, it would make a perfect holiday skirt too with a red or green cardigan and Christmas brooch…. How gorgeous!

My next skirt is the Hell Bunny 50’s August Cherry Check. This one is without a doubt one of my all time favorite skirts!! Gingham and cherries…. Just screams summer!! This is a full circle skirt made of 100% cotton so it is light as air.

I’ve styled this skirt so many different ways over the past year. Here in these pictures I am wearing it with a long sleeved top but have worn it with red tops, white tops, green tops and even blue tops. I love that you can add a full petticoat underneath. In these pictures I styled it without a petticoat. The skirt nips you in right at the waist, perfect for the Pinup girl and rockabilly look.

Accessorizing this outfit is a lot of fun. I am wearing my true vintage red cherry Bakelite brooch (gift from my hubby) and added vintage cherry shoe clips and vintage millinery cherries to my vintage dark green patent leather purse.

There are so many options to style this skirt with colorful cardigans and tops, adding some fun hair scarves would really give it a rockabilly vibe as well. Wearing a longer petticoat that shows at the bottom would be a sweet touch too. Again, this is such a light and breathable skirt, so perfect for summer time.
