Living in gorgeous wine country California we have so many opportunities to explore new cities located right in Napa Valley. Hubby and I picked St. Helena for a day trip as the city is known for its vineyards, wineries, restaurants, spas, shopping and art galleries so there would be plenty to experience on our trip.

St. Helena is such a cute town with so much charm. We wandered the lovely down town, stopped into shops that had some incredibly unique and one-of-a-kind items like Erin Martin where there is incredible home decor, design services and gift ware selection and upon entering you are greeted by a giant dinosaur!!

It was on July 20, 1969 when the first moon landing happened with astronauts Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins on the Apollo 11 and it was the most thrilling time for space exploration in our nations history and the world. I wasn’t born yet, but outer space travel, discovering new planets and galaxies, and that question of are there aliens or Martians and just the fascination of what would it be like one day for humans to live in space have always fascinated me.

A Taste of Italy at Ferrari Carano Winery

Living in gorgeous wine country California we are fortunate to have world-class wineries so close by and today we visited the exquisite Ferrari Carano winery. The drive was beautiful; it was sunny and warm with a breeze. We past so many lush vineyards and stopped to take pictures along the way. Harvest season has started in Sonoma County but there are still full grape clusters hanging on the vines and they are a wonderful sight to see.

Ferrari Carano Winery is about 30 miles from our home and is located in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley in Healdsburg, CA. The winery is known for their Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blancs as well as reds and desert wines. Let me just say we were in complete delight when we pulled onto the property. The winery looks just like an Italian villa with grand arches, lots of architectural and ornamental details, beautiful windows and is surrounded by stunning ornamental gardens. There are several types of tastings offered, one of which can be experienced in the underground Enoteca Reserve Tasting Bar and you can see a remarkable barrel room on your way down and then there is the II Terrazzo terrace that overlooks the stunning formal gardens and vineyard offering tastings as well.

Peggy Sue Car Show

Hubby and I always look forward to the annual Peggy Sue Car Show and Cruise here in lovely Sonoma County. The car show features some of the most exquisite American classic cars and is so much fun. This year it was very hot and I don’t know if it was because of the heat but the turnout seemed smaller in terms of cars and attendees. Nonetheless there were some beauties we saw and I posed by them all. Here are some pictures captured by my sweet hubby Gary Greco and I hope you enjoy them.

I wore my fun Poodle themed dress, red cardi and my pink Cadillac Kate Spade purse which matched up pretty nicely with the stunning 1959 pink Cadillac El Dorado!!

Wisteria and Rainbows – Living Life in Full Bloom

I love this time of year when the sun is shining, flowers are blooming and the world is colorful and nature is buzzing. We found this fabulous spot blooming with wisteria and stopped for some photos. I am wearing my new favorite dress, a smashing pastel rainbow beauty dress that has the retro kitschy Pinup style I adore from Collectif London. The dress is so pretty and I love the sweetheart neckline, it has pockets, and fits my curves perfectly. I kept the styling simple, as I wanted the dress and the wisteria to be showstoppers. I added my Heart of Haute Sweet Sweater in pink and my vintage 1950s pink poodle purse.

Meet me where the sky touches the sea

Springtime in northern California is beautiful. Hubby and I headed to Bodega Bay for some sunshine and fresh seafood.
