Dresses are one my favorite pieces of clothing! I love how feminine and easy to wear dresses are and with a few accessories you have a complete outfit. Wrap dresses are my ultimate fave however and if you’ve been reading my blog for a while you know how much I appreciate a wrap dress because they really are a curvy girls best friend (you can see past wrap dresses here, here, here, and here).

Springtime dresses have such pretty floral prints and soft colors. My mother would take my sister and I shopping for new Spring and Easter dresses when we were kids and we’d wear them to family dinners and special events. I still get myself some pretty Spring – Easter dresses every year and it makes me so excited when brands release their collections for the new season.

This year I am loving these two dresses (pictured) in similar but different tones. These two dresses are the Marie dress (a faux wrap top dress, full circle skirt, and has pockets) in the colorways of Retro Cherry Aqua, and Retro Cherry Blush. I love how these dresses have that retro Pinup style, and vintage Rockabilly style that nip me in at my waist and accentuate my curves. Dresses are from Heart of Haute and they fit like a glove. The Marie dress really is a wardrobe staple for me. I styled these two dresses very casually with only a cropped sweater and added my favorite vintage Bakelite cherry brooch (a Christmas gift from my husband Gary that I treasure) and a hair bow. I think these dresses are perfect for Spring and Easter and they are incredibly comfortable to wear. You could wear heels, sandals or slides, depending on how casual you want to be but, still look dressed and put together…. Effortless chic!!

Happy Spring everyone!! A big thank you to my sweet hubby Gary for all these photos.
