Vintage Kitchen and Nostalgic Noel

We are in harvest season here in wine country. The vineyards are so busy with harvesters and the leaves are starting to turn. All the apple orchards have their charming country stands all setup and the tourists from San Francisco are making their final trips up to wine country for the season. The days are starting to cool with highs in the 70s and evening is a great time for fresh sea breezes to blow in. Another gorgeous day and I headed out for some antique picking. No sales in my area though I have my eye on an upcoming sale in the next couple weeks as church not too far from us has been advertising a huge rummage sale so I will certainly have to stop at that.

Found some amazing vintage yellow tin kitchen canisters, a really darling set of vintage 1950s Christmas NOEL bells, an aqua pottery poodle (I have not seen one like this before), an miniature Staffordshire dog marked ‘England’ and a beautiful Italian micro mosaic picture frame with brilliant blue and daisy flowers. The Italian micro mosaic frame is my favorite…..might not be able to part with it.

Vintage 1950s Christmas Gift Wrap Paper is so Charming

As Christmas approaches, we are preparing to wrap the gifts we have for friends and family and I am finding so much vintage gift wrap paper from the 1950s and the paper is so darn cute and sweet that it will surely add that touch of vintage charm to my packages. I tried to snap some pics of the vintage gift wrap paper for you all to see. We head to see our families in the Pacific Northwest this week and will spend the holidays with them and although I am overjoyed to see my family,  I can’t wait to visit a couple of ‘favorite’ spots for antiques and collectibles too!! Hope your holidays are festively underway!!
