I wanted to share some pics with you all from my weekend in wine country. We are so fortunate to live in beautiful wine country California and have really great weather pretty much all year. This past weekend was so lovely, sunny, and cool with a little wind. Hubby and I headed to the quaint towns of Windsor and Healdsburg about 70 miles North of San Francisco.

I had a completely different outfit planned for this excursion but it didn’t work out well for my curves…. we will save that story for another time and another curvy blog post. I had seen this polka dot top in a magazine and being the lover of polka dots that I am, I had to have it. I was so happy to see the blouse come in plus size as it would need to fit my curves and it is a wrap top so I knew it would fit my bust and I was not disappointed when it arrived. The blouse had such a luxurious feel to it and it was made really well. Usually plus size curvy clothing from department stores are not all that well made and do not usually have a shape so I was pleasantly surprised what fast fashion from Macy’s delivered. I paired the polka dot blouse with my red swing skirt from Unique Vintage to give it the retro Pinup look I adore. When the outfit came together it felt very Parisian/high-end Vogue chic. I actually contemplated wearing it with my gloriously large hat (instagram pic) . I kept the accessories minimal to only a red necklace and my vintage red wicker handbag and black belt.

Our first stop was Windsor and the little town square was busy with families and folks taking their puppy dogs out. It was a little windy but my photographer hubby captured the fun of the day and my outfit. We stopped in at Powell’s Sweet Shoppe, park and walked around the shops and restaurants.

Next stop was the town of Healdsburg. Healdsburg has a lovely town square and lots of trendy restaurants and shops. They also have some neat architecture ranging from turn-of-the-century homes and buildings to mid-century modern. Lots of folks from San Francisco buzz to Healdsburg for weekend getaways and lots of folks have vacation homes too.

It was a lovely day out and about with my hubby and my outfit was very comfortable and I felt so chic and pretty. Wrap tops and dresses are one of my go-to styles as they really accentuate a curvy figure and swing skirts too; they nip in your waist and really enhance an hourglass shape. I look forward to pairing this top with bright yellow, green and blue next time. You can see more pics here too.
