Out and about early this morning before the heat consumes us…..over  103 expected today yikes!! Found a little thrift shop that I did not know was just down the road and look at these adorable treasures I found. Christmas in July arrived for sure with this pink vintage beaded Christmas stocking featuring Santa and a Reindeer with nearly all beading intact, a vintage Paris souvenir scarf, a pair of cute vintage pansy doilies, a set of salt and pepper shakers in the form of a dainty hand bag and parasol and a beautiful German figurine. I am really getting exicted about vintage textiles and vintage linens. I have a couple vintage maybe even Victorian era needlepoint tapestries that I came across a couple years ago at a local antique mall that are gorgeous and I am still trying to figure out how to best display them though my mother insists I frame them or get them made into a bench/chair cushion.The little German lady figurine is so delicate and lovely and her being made in pink is allthe more girlie…she is already sitting on my vanity.  It sure pays off to head out treasure hunting early!!!
