Having an hourglass figure is not always easy to dress because finding clothing that nips in your waist and compliments your curves is not usually something you can find at the local shopping mall. When I discovered The Dolores Doll dress from Collectif Clothing it immediately became one of my go-to styles.
The perfect dress for Spring is here!! Let me tell you all about the stunning Donna dress in Vintage Rose Sage print from the fabulous brand Heart of Haute. The first thing you notice about the Donna is the beautiful Vintage Rose Print with a soft blue background and delicate pink roses. The Donna is a wrap dress so I knew without a doubt it would work on my curvy body and fit my bust area. The fabric is a very fine sweater knit fabric and it has a good amount of stretch. I typically wear a size 2XL and I am wearing the Donna in a 1XL because of the amount of stretch.
This photo shoot is one of my all time favorites I’ve done thus far for Pin Up Girl Clothing. I am wearing the Pinup Couture Edie Dress in Pink Harlequin print. The harlequin prints from Pin Up Girl are out-of-this-world with their color combos and styles. The Edie dress in Pink Harlequin is exquisite with lots of pink, red, and white colors and it is absolutely perfect for Valentines Day.
This is my very first Edie style and it reminds me a lot of the famous white Marilyn Monroe dress and, I really felt like a glamorous bombshell in it. I am wearing a size 2XL (my standard size in Pin Up Girl Clothing) and the dress emphasizes my hourglass figure and is spectacularly big boob friendly!! The Edie has a collared mock wrap bodice and us gals with big busts really appreciate this style. The dress is impeccably made with loads of high quality gathered sateen fabric, has pockets and comes with a matching belt to nip in the waist. Accessorizing with a pink or red cardigan is so complementary with the colors of the Pink Harlequin Edie dress. Add a petticoat for additional fullness (I am wearing a petticoat) and match your favorite shoes too. I had so much fun spending the day in this gorgeous dress and it was incredibly comfortable and barely wrinkled. I love all things pink, and this dress is not only perfect for Valentines Day but also anytime you want to feel like a glamorous bombshell!! Hurry and snap yours up before it is completely sold out!!

Finally, the perfect Fall Pinup Girl dress is mine!! I was so excited when the Aimee Dress in Sunshine Daisy print arrived from Heart of Haute.The print grabbed me right away with those daisies in fabulous pops of bright colors and I immediately knew this would be my go-to Fall dress. The colors are perfect in shades of orange, yellow and green against a black backdrop. I want to call your attention to the cut and style of the Heart of Haute Aimee with its gathered sweetheart bodice, form fitting darts, A line skirt and hidden back zipper that is complete with a matching belt. I absolutely love the way the Heart of Haute Aimee fits my curves, especially my bust giving such a nice shape. I am wearing the Aimee in a size 1X to accommodate my bust and the waist has quite a bit of room so it is very nice the dress comes with an attached tie belt.

The dress is 100% cotton and very comfortable. A perfect dress to take you from 9-5pm and 5-9pm. As the weather cools a bit adding a cardigan or a Heart of Haute Sweet Sweater will be perfect and just think of all the color combinations you can do. Heart of Haute makes beautiful clothes and the Aimee is very well done with a feminine silhouette. I want all the Aimee’s, they do come in many different colors and prints. I am so sad to have missed out on the Tulip print Aimee but it sold out so quickly in my size, I won’t be making that mistake again!!

Yasmina Greco – Bernie Dexter Chelsea Red Dog Pinup Dress
In a recent post I wrote about my visit to the Bernie Dexter pinup rockabilly store while on a trip to Oregon and shared how I’ve never had good luck fitting into Bernie Dexter styles. My very first photo-shoot was in a Paris style and it was tricky getting my breasts into it so, I didn’t think Bernie Dexter dresses were made for serious curves and large breasts. I was always a bit saddened because the prints are stunning and so many gals gush over their Bernie Dexter dresses but, they didn’t work on my body…until today when the awesome and helpful lady working at the Bernie Dexter store handed me a rare gem to try on in a magical style called Chelsea!!!

I had come into the shop wearing a vintage style dress with poodles on it so the print of this Chelsea was perfect; it was the Red Dog dress with many dog breeds as the print. The lady at the shop told me the dress came from their London location recently. I slipped the Chelsea on and my-oh-my was I pleasantly surprised. The fit was the very first thing I noticed…. especially the part that my well-endowed bosom fit into the dress. Next, I noticed that this dress reminded me almost immediately of the Jenny dress from Pinup Girl Clothing of which I own several. The Chelsea dress is made of a very light weight cotton fabric and I found the very lightness of it to be fun and flirty and with the addition of a petticoat perfect, the dress does not loose shape or structure. The fabric lightness is ideal for summer. Next I noticed the dress has an attached tie-belt, which is fabulous for nipping in the waist. I am wearing the Chelsea in a size 2XL and although quite roomy in the waist, the belt takes care of it. The dress was incredibly comfortable and I did not feel like my breasts were squished at all. I could easily spend an entire day in this dress. I felt like a bombshell!! My only wish would be the addition of adjustable straps and then you could decide how much or how little breast would show.

Bichon Frise Brooch
Here are some pics of me with my puppy dog Luna, how fitting right, since the dress pattern is all about dogs, yay!! I styled the dress simply with only a petticoat, cropped black cardigan, red shoes and my sparkly rhinestone Bichon Frise puppy dog brooch because my Luna is a Bichon Frise. For a day to evening look I would add a lovely vintage purse with Poodles on the front. Adding a lovely vintage mustard yellow cardigan and pair of shoes would look fabulous as well. I look forward to adding many more figure flattering Bernie Dexter Chelsea’s to my wardrobe and I am confident I will be Pinup perfect!!
