I love the Lyra dresses because they look spectacular on a wide variety of body shapes and available in sizes 14-32 UK and are made from high quality fabrics. I love the Lyra’s fit, because it is a wrap dress it fits my bust perfectly and gives me a very feminine silhouette. I feel well dressed and beautiful.

Mod Mint Day in San Francisco

A fit and flare dress is universally flattering on a number of body shapes while making legs look longer and showing off your waist. This aqua blue beauty with a stunning border print of San Francisco in particular from retailer Modcloth in collaboration with one of my favorite vintage-style brands Collectif Clothing made me swoon from the first moment I saw the Collectif MC Golden State of Mind A-Line Dress online.

Living in the Bay Area this dress was an absolute must for me!! It arrived very quickly and I could not wait to put it on and shoot it for you all. I was not sure exactly which size to order but I followed the online size guide to fit my bust and am wearing the dress in size 20 (UK) and it fits my curves perfectly. Dress is available in sizes 4 (UK) – 28 (UK). It is so wonderful that Modcloth has beautiful clothing for us plus size gals. There is room for my ample bust, it has pockets, and the skirt is so full and gives me such a feminine silhouette and makes me want to twirl, twirl, twirl.

The perfect dress for Spring is here!! Let me tell you all about the stunning Donna dress in Vintage Rose Sage print from the fabulous brand Heart of Haute. The first thing you notice about the Donna is the beautiful Vintage Rose Print with a soft blue background and delicate pink roses. The Donna is a wrap dress so I knew without a doubt it would work on my curvy body and fit my bust area. The fabric is a very fine sweater knit fabric and it has a good amount of stretch. I typically wear a size 2XL and I am wearing the Donna in a 1XL because of the amount of stretch.

Polka Dots, Curves in Wine Country

I wanted to share some pics with you all from my weekend in wine country. We are so fortunate to live in beautiful wine country California and have really great weather pretty much all year. This past weekend was so lovely, sunny, and cool with a little wind. Hubby and I headed to the quaint towns of Windsor and Healdsburg about 70 miles North of San Francisco.

I had a completely different outfit planned for this excursion but it didn’t work out well for my curves…. we will save that story for another time and another curvy blog post. I had seen this polka dot top in a magazine and being the lover of polka dots that I am, I had to have it. I was so happy to see the blouse come in plus size as it would need to fit my curves and it is a wrap top so I knew it would fit my bust and I was not disappointed when it arrived. The blouse had such a luxurious feel to it and it was made really well. Usually plus size curvy clothing from department stores are not all that well made and do not usually have a shape so I was pleasantly surprised what fast fashion from Macy’s delivered. I am wearing a wonderful wrap dress in these photos called ‘Dawn’ Navy Cherry Polka Dot Swing Dress . As a women with ample curves , wrap dresses are my go-to style. This pretty print is a dark navy blue covered with ripe red cherries. I couldn’t resist this one. I love the way it hugs my curves, emphasizes my waist and flatters my shape. The dress is made from a medium very stretchy jersey fabric making it perfect for Autum and chilly weather and doesn’t wrinkle much at all.  Oh, and did I mention the price….. under $50!!
