This is a true vintage salt & pepper shaker set of Black Americana Memorabilia here – NOT reproduction. The native boy is wearing yellow short pants and no shirt and is sitting on the floor with arms open to welcome the juicy watermelon wedge that is next to him. The boy’s face is so well detailed with big eyes and mouth that is open wide and his hair is very well modeled and the Watermelon is next to him. These true vintage shakers date to circa 1940’s-1950’s. The boy measures approx. 3” inches and Watermelon measures approx. 3” inches and both are marked “JAPAN” and retain their original cork stoppers. This set is in Superb condition with NO chips, No cracks, or damage of any kind and have a rich glaze– a REAL treasure these are! These shakers have been in a display cabinet of a private collector for many, many years and have been loving cared for.
