Native man wears a loin cloth and has big eyes and sits with legs crossed holding a big watermelon wedge and the way this shaker is made is the head moves back and forth and it looks like he is eating his watermelon. 3 pour holes man’s head and 2 pour holes watermelon. This is a Very Rare MAJOLICA Black Americana Tobacco Humidor. Tobacco jar is in the form of a handsome and refined Black Man. The face is exquisitely detailed with eyes that seem to look right at you and the man’s expression is smiling and he has a gorgeous set of teeth. Vintage Black Americana F&F Jemima Mose Salt and Pepper Shakers 5 Inches
These are a pair of Vintage 1950s Black Americana Aunt Jemima and Uncle Mose salt and pepper shakers made by “F & F Mold & Dye Works, Dayton, Ohio”. Shakers are made out of a very hard plastic. This is a larger set measuring approx. 5 ¼” inches and they are the much harder to find set than the more common 3 ½” inch sets. Aunt Jemima shaker has “Aunt Jemima” embossed on her back and her pour holes form an “S” on top of her head. The Uncle Mose pour holes form a “P” on his head and he has “Uncle Mose” embossed on his back. Shakers are in Excellent vintage condition with minor paint wear and wear to the seams. We have not seen another towel like this one. This is a vintage 1940′s cotton medium weight rare Black Americana tea towel. Towel measures approx. 27 1/2” x 14 1/2”. Towel is very bright, colorful, and crisp. Towel has a Mammy lady that appears to have just arrived from shopping and she carries a basket full of fruits and vegetables and holds an apple out to a darling little blonde girl wearing a green dress and she has a red bow in her hair. Trainer is very colorful in his clothing wearing green pants and hat, yellow vest with tie and his dark burgundy purple coat, has his hat tipped and smiles. Seal stands proudly on a dark green and yellow circle box and holds a matching dark burgundy purple ball. These Were Obtained From a Private Collection
Here it is – The set you have been hunting for! This set here is the “Real Deal” that is so rare to come by. This is the only set we’ve ever seen and not more than a couple people that we know of have ever seen a set of these. These are the rare Aunt Jemima Oil Cloth Dolls featuring Aunt Jemima, Uncle Mose, Diana, and Wade.
The Aunt Jemima doll is 12” inches tall and dressed in a red and white-checkered apron dress with a white kerchief. On her head is a yellow bandanna with red crisscross lines. Written on the bottom of her apron is “Aunt Jemima” with registered trademark symbol. She is holding a piping hot plate of pancakes.
The Uncle Mose doll is 13” inches tall and he is wearing a yellow jacket with blue pin stripe pants with a pocket chain attached to a red vest. He’s wearing a blue bow tie and holding a black top hat.
The Little Diana doll is 9” inches tall and she is wearing a yellow dress with red sash and a square patch of fabric on her dress. Underneath her dress she wears red ruffled panties. Her hands are behind her back.
The Wade doll is 9” inches tall. Wade is wearing a red and white striped shirt and holding a yellow lollipop. He has on blue denim short frayed at the ends with a blue square patch on one side. He has on cute red and white striped socks.
These oil cloth dolls are from a private collection and have been lovingly cared for. These dolls are over 50 years old! All dolls are in great condition, there are no holes, stains, rips or tears that we can see. Aunt Jemima doll is sewn together a bit differently on the bottom than the other dolls, has some very light markings on her apron. The dolls are all stuffed with old cotton batting. The dolls are all very clean looking and come from a smoke free and pet free environment. You will be so Happy with these!!
