First a quick stop at VooDoo Doughnut. We had been searching and searching for this place in Portland, Oregon, after seeing it on all the Food Network and “Strange” food shows and FINALLY found it! Yup, they do indeed have VooDoo doll shaped doughnuts that have a chocolate cover and red jelly inside for the “blood” and a stick pretzel at the top and bottom as the “VooDoo Doll Pins”, a maple bacon bar, an oreo cookie doughnut and too many others!! After getting our sugar fix we headed up to downtown Vancouver, Washington, for some junking and antiquing and it was a really gorgeous day with sunshine, a breeze and 80 degrees (perfect for the Northwest) we found some cute vintage tea towels and salt and pepper shakers and a life-sized Spider Man doll.
